Josh Kaufman is the CEO and Co-Founder of Khasma Capital, a partner dedicated to providing capital and expertise to teams developing sustainable infrastructure projects. Khasma Capital combines financing with strategic and operational support and enables developers to prove their business model, grow their teams, and commercialize technologies.
With a background in business development, M&A, and infrastructure for multinational energy companies, Josh is an expert in identifying, investing in, and scaling critical infrastructure projects across North America. In his role at Khasma Capital, Josh oversees the fund investment and long-term execution strategy to support a portfolio of companies active in the Alternative Fuels, Sustainable Agriculture, and Industrial Decarbonization sectors.
Prior to forming Khasma Capital, Josh served as Vice President of QIC, a global asset manager based in Queensland, Australia. During his time at QIC, Josh executed $1B+ in infrastructure transactions and managed the company’s long-term investment responsibilities for international stakeholders focused on North American energy infrastructure. Before QIC, Josh was the Vice President of Business Development and M&A at GE Power, where he executed $15B+ in corporate transactions and led venture investments, company acquisitions, and technology co-fundings. Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Williams College.
